MERRY CHRISTMAS, a savior has come. His name is Jesus, the Christ.
Beginning today and for eleven more days of celebration, we will add a gift to the celebration, as sang below, celebrating the birth of our Lord, Jesus. Christmas is the first day; so the song goes like this:
A Christmas Classic
On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me a partridge in a pear tree. Years ago some thought Christians used the song to communicate Jesus had come.
The version of the song I’m using was written over a hundred years ago, in 1909, by English composer, Fredric Austin. A popular theory said the song was made up of coded references to help Christians learn and pass on the tenets of their faith to avoid prosecution. Using that philosophy the first day of Christmas would mean exactly what we celebrate Christmas for in the first place.
Modest beginning, Marvelous ending
Our true love, God above in heaven, gave us Jesus to save us unto Himself. Jesus the son of God, becoming human to pay our sin debt and giving us eternal life.
A good short story and novelette

Let the fun begin
In today’s celebration the jolly old Santa Claus receives glory from small children worldwide, while Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus by giving gifts, just as the wise men gave to Jesus, the savior of the world. It is God’s spirit of love that transcends all understanding, that He would leave heaven for a sinful world, but the true love from God endures all.
Saint Nicholas
The original Santa Claus was born in the village of Patara in the third century. He was made bishop of Myra while serving as a young man. Born to wealthy parents who died and left their fortune to him. He obeyed Jesus words, selling everything he owned and giving to the poor. Today he is known as St. Nicholas, whom some celebrate as Santa Claus.
Give God thanks
I propose we all give thanks to God above and rejoice, for Jesus is standing for each of us with open arms. This is the day we use to celebrate God’s ultimate gift, Jesus. Also we should thank God for saints such as St. Nicholas, who sold everything to give to the needy children.
Tomorrow we’ll discuss the second day of Christmas, using the song as a guide.
