Hey everyone! I’m currently building the interactive map for The Chronicles of Peckles-Wood Shire, and I’ve been diving deep into the absolutely astonishing, real-world folklore of Northumberland, England.
This region is packed with ancient castles, hidden glens, and actual local legends of drakes, griffins, and unicorns. I’m having so much fun turning this real history into a novel and map locations!
If you look closely at those high castle walls up on the hill, local legends whisper that a very famous young wizard once had his very first flying lesson right on those slopes… 🧹✨
