A Thank You From the Heart. Sometimes I look back to 2019 and shake my head—because I know good and well I didn’t start this journey on my own. It began with a nudge from the Lord, that quiet unction that said, “Write your story… tell what I’ve done.” I had no road map, just faith, a keyboard, and the sense that God wasn’t asking me to be perfect—just faithful.
I also want to thank Mike Baine for inviting me to the Wordsmith Forge podcast and for the work he does to get God’s Word and stories of faith out into the world. His encouragement and platform have helped share not just my books, but the message of hope, love, and God’s guidance with more readers than I could reach alone.
From that humble beginning came For Such a Time as This, my first inspirational book, written to share the love of God and His way as I’ve lived it, learned it, and leaned on it. And today, by His grace, Lee’s Novels and Books has grown into something far bigger than I ever pictured in those early days.
Families are once again exploring the classic tales the world grew up with—timeless stories built on strong values… along with my inspirational writings… short stories and novellas… and two award-winning novels. No Romancing the Passengers, book one of the Obsessed Intentions Series, stands alongside No Forgetting Providence, and before long, the third installment—No Trains to Chichen Itza—will arrive in Ebookz form.
And right in the middle of all this growth, The Marks Boy’s Rock has taken off like a shot. This ChristLit award-winning Y/A coming-of-age novel is quickly becoming a “must read” for teens—because it doesn’t shy away from real struggles, real faith, and the truth that God has a way forward even when life gets messy. I’m humbled by the response it’s getting from young readers, parents, and teachers alike.
I’ve also been blessed in a way I never expected: God brought in an award-winning editor and an award-winning cover and interior designer—professionals whose talent, heart, and craftsmanship have taken my work to a level only He could’ve seen coming. Their excellence has sharpened the stories, strengthened the message, and elevated every book in ways I could never have done alone. Including two Christlit Awards.
We now offer gift cards for Christmas and special occasions too—so families can share stories, faith, and imagination with the people they love.
It hasn’t been overnight, and it hasn’t been easy. But through every draft, setback, attack, blessing, and breakthrough, God has been steering the ship. Everything I write—fiction or nonfiction, classic or contemporary—carries the same heartbeat: to honor Him and reflect His love, His truth, and His way.
