Gentiles Granted Repentance to Life

  • by

This morning I began my day with scripture in the book of Acts. I wanted to share this perfect moment in time, with you.

Early baptism of Gentiles

Before The Early Church

Jews and Gentiles were not always friendly toward one another. The story of Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:7–31) gives remarkable insight into that strained relationship.

That encounter is believed to have taken place about two to three years before Jesus’ crucifixion. Roughly three years later, God extended His offer of repentance and new life to all people—men and women alike (Acts 11:18). That moment marks the beginning of faith in Christ being recognized by the Jewish believers as open to all nations. It was the doorway through which the gospel began to cross every boundary.

The Gospel That Crossed Every Boundary

Today, thanks to God’s amazing grace, anyone around the world can receive repentance to life in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Have you received His free gift to life? All you have to do is believe in Jesus, and ask.

The New Covenant

Repentance to life began when Jesus freely gave His life for our sins. His life, His blood, was the price paid. Now there is no charge laid to mankind save one. We must repent and believe in the gospel of Jesus (Mark 1:15).
