Meet Archibald, 1885

Archibald is a Pureling™ hare, and he is no ordinary hare.

Pureling™ hares can grow to nearly three and a half feet tall when standing on their hind legs. They are strong, quick-witted, and built for life in the New Beginning. Their proper food is simple: clover and fresh new grass.

But the most remarkable thing about a Pureling™ hare isn’t its size.

They are from the Beginning.

Purelings™ are pure, without knowledge of the world or the fears, doubts, and troubles that come with it. They know only what belongs to the Beginning, unless they become worldly-wise.

And that is when everything can change.

They can talk.

Archibald speaks freely with people and other beings, and he has a way of saying exactly what he thinks. He is curious, cheerful, and completely untroubled by things that might frighten a human.

Archibald doesn’t know what it means to be afraid.
